Full Time Education Bursary Scheme
Schools and colleges will be receiving allocations under this new £180m bursary scheme to help 16-19 year olds continue in full-time education, where they might otherwise struggle for financial reasons. The scheme has two elements: Bursary of £1,200 a year to the most vulnerable young people; and Discretionary Fund for schools and colleges to distribute. There will also be transitional arrangements to help those who are part-way through their studies and are currently receiving EMA.
