Funding Buddies

Support for projects that provide environmental and social benefits for local communities across certain areas of England which are in the vicinity of Viridor-owned landfill sites.  Projects must provide public amenities, conserve biodiversity or restore certain buildings (for worship or of historic/architectural interest).

Capital and certain revenue costs.

There is no minimum or maximum level of funding; the exact grant amount will depend on the individual project.  Previously, grants have been made for between £200 and £160,000.

Applicants are expected to show what other sources of funding have been sought and secured. Third Party Funding of 10% of the grant amount must be sought in all circumstances.

To be eligible for funding, projects must demonstrate: sustainability, value for money and proven need.
